Is there any chance of a new reboot or restart of the
XFiles TV television show series?
Chris Carter, the original creator of the classic X Files TV
show, has no interest in working on a new X-Files television
series involving the production of twenty plus individual
episodes per season.
In fact, Chris Carter invested nearly ten years of his life
working on the first and only XFiles TV show. It is not possible
to expect Chris Carter to embark on the creation of a new
X-Files TV show or a related X Files television spin off TV
series.
However, Twentieth Century Fox owns the intellectual property
rights to the X-Files so this means Chris Carter doesn't control
the future of the XFiles. 20th Century Fox could make their own
new X Files TV show without Chris Carter. There are no plans for
a new reboot or restart of the X Files franchise on regular broadcast
television. It will probably never happen.
